The holidays are almost here, and we have something very special at our school. This week, we are hosting our Penguin Patch Holiday Shop, where students get to be the gift giver. Students are able to shop at school for fun and affordable gifts for family and friends. The shop is open until December 12th. We hope to see you everyone at the Penguin Patch!

Congratulations to Our Math Competition Team!

We are excited to celebrate our amazing students who proudly represented our school in this year’s math competition! These students dedicated their time, effort, and problem-solving skills to prepare, practice, and push their thinking in new ways.

Their commitment to teamwork, perseverance, and a love for learning truly reflects the spirit of our school. We are so proud of each of them for stepping up to the challenge and showcasing their mathematical talents.

Special congratulations to our 7th grade team, Bonniechristine Williams, Khang Tran, and Zachary Taylor for placing 3rd place amongst all 6th graders!

Thank you to everyone who came out to our S.T.R.E.A.M Night! Families enjoyed hands-on games and activities in Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art and Math. Our halls were filled with laughter, creativity, and learning and we loved watching students show off their curiosity and problem-solving skills. 

Huge shoutout to our teachers and staff for planning such engaging stations. 

Our school community shines when we learn together! 

We are proud to announce that TASPA has grown 4 points on the Alabama State Report Card, increasing from a 82/B to a 86/B! This increase reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, teachers, staff, families, and community partners. 

Over the past year, we have focused on strengthening instruction, expanding student support, and creating a learning environment where every child can truly succeed. This progress is a direct result of:

• High-quality teaching and daily student engagement
• Targeted intervention and enrichment opportunities
• Support from families who partner with us in learning 
• A school community that believes in growth and excellence

While we are excited to celebrate this achievement, we are more energized to continue moving forward. Our mission remains the same - every student, every day!
